​Artist Statement

My thesis is the exploration of the expansion and release from personal boundaries and childhood impressions. I have achieved this clarity through performance art and
two-dimensional work. Subsequently, I have come to realize the three stages I go
through in order to ascend:

Acknowledgement (Mind) - may it be the realization of an irrational childhood fear or
need to outgrow a boundary

Release (Body) - shown through the documentation and act of letting go; taking form
through washing away, baptism and rebirth

Growth (Spirit)- Realization of Ascension manifested through two-dimensional work
